My wife is the office manager for Bear Lake State Park and when I told her of your problem she told me that you should have been sold that pass without question. Even if you already had one you can buy another. They are more than happy to take ones money!
Anyway, she told me that all she should have done was to take your cash and clip it for the month that you wanted it to start being valid from. It just wouldn't be valid until August, but moot point because you already stated that you had a pass that was valid through July.
If a girl is pierced, tattooed, dyed, etc. that should say something for her capability to think rationally! We have a couple rocket scientists up here as well that man the gate house from time to time.[
