[#0000FF]Thanks for TRYING to post an informative report. Some of us "GET IT". Going anywhere on a Saturday is an invitation to make a lot of new friends. Only problem is that some of those friends simply have no clue as to sportsmanship or basic courtesy.
You gotta blame the intrusions of the young on their parents. Some folks just don't care about what their kids or pets are doing to mess up others' enjoyment of the available recreation.
And, as others have not so discreetly pointed out, it is not only a race or ethnic thing. Yeah, there are a couple of groups that seem to be responsible for much of the trashing problems. But trashiness crosses the boundaries of all groups. Bad examples in any defined category. Some of the worst cases I have witnessed have been perpetrated by groups of white "privileged" folks that took on too much "fuel" and went wacko...just because they could. Some folks don't know or understand the laws. Others choose to ignore them or purposely violate them...just for the thrill. Like tearing the tags off mattresses. Call the feds.
I am one who sympathizes with your preference for some solitude. I am fortunate (retired) to be able to fish weekdays...and choose not go join the hordes on the weekend. But it was not always so. And I have many unfond memories of long anticipated trips completely ruined by thoughtless or deliberate actions from others.
Your trip, your post and the reactions should help you to realize: 1. You are not going to get solitude anywhere easily accessible to the masses. 2. You have to be careful about how you express your dislikes. Always gonna be folks who like to use the anonymity of the Internet to stir something up. 3. We have members from all groups on BFT. Making any comments that could cause defensive reactions is an open invitation to attack...with others piling on.
Congrats on scoring some grayling. If that was your primary objective...and your sole reason for enduring the slings and arrows of outrageous encounters...then you did okay. If you didn't watch Adam Eakle's program last Saturday you should go in on the [url "http://www.ksl.com/?nid=1113&sid=17217040"]KSL WEBSITE [/url]. I don't think they have it posted yet...but soon. He was at an unnamed lake in the Boulders that had grayling up to 18" and over a couple of pounds...with beautiful blue-flecked dorsal fins.
