Since June 3rd, I have joined the "Every day (except Sunday) is Saturday" crowd. I won't be able to go fishing every day (and choose not to fish on Sundays) but I definitely will be fishing more often than I have been able to in the past. I extend an open invite to others who would like to join me, especially during the week, but there will also be some openings on some Saturdays.
I live in the Bountiful area, but I am willing to travel to fish waters in other areas (maybe make it a multiple-day trip). We can take my boat (18 1/2' fish 'n ski with electric and gas trolling motors) or yours, or I would even consider fishing from the shore. I prefer to vertically jig, or bait fish for certain species, but will troll when necessary. I do not have downriggers on my boat.
I like to fish for everything, except that I am not interested in targeting perch (although I would like to catch a sacramento perch). I have an annual fishing license for Idaho and that is an option. I will also be making some more sturgeon trips.
Warning, I like to leave my home no later than 5:00 AM, and especially if the fish are biting, I usually fish until at least the middle of the afternoon and some times even later. If you are one who has been known to ask, around 1:00 PM, "Kent, it doesn't matter to me, but what time did you plan on heading home?", please don't ask to go fishing with me. I don't mind fishing with children or you and your spouse, as long as I know in advance that a child or spouse will be joining us. Three, including myself, can fish comfortably from my boat and four or more can fish if some of the anglers are children.
I do not smoke or drink, but I don't mind if others choose to smoke or have a beer or two (in my boat, not in my auto).
We share actual expenses equally, but if you are short on cash (and I agree in advance) other options are possible. If interested in getting on my list of possible fishing partners (men only please), send me a PM with your name, where you live, days of the week you can typically fish, fish you want to target, bodies of water you want to fish (if you are particular) cell number, and anything else you feel I should know.
