Kokanee no problem, but need help with lakers

I love fishing the gorge but need some help. It seems so easy to limit out on the kokes by fairly early in the morning, but then what do you do the rest of the day. I have tried to troll around and pick up some lake trout pups but I must be doing something wrong.

I have 13 and 15 year old boys and we need something to keep our interest after we are done with the kokes. Any advice would be great.
