Utah chub. They look a little different than a sucker but are exactly what you are describing. There are both species in Pali
es. This is the time of year they spawn. Used to go sit on the banks of Palies as a kid growing up over by McCoy Creek at night next to a hug bonfire and catch hundreds them and feed them to the seagulls the next day. They are a bottom feeding menace but serve their purpose in life for as bait for large lake trout.
