Steelie30, I think I can answer your question and clarify some slight mis-information provided by RatFink. The brood needs at Rapid River are 2,400 but only 2,000 are captured at Rapid River, the other 400 come from Hells Canyon Trap on the Snake River.
You're also applying an incorrect conversion rate estimate to the 12,389 fish headed for Rapid River. 12,389 is the estimate at Bonneville Dam, and a 70% conversion rate is applied to that number which is the estimated loss and harvest that occurs between Bonneville Dam and Idaho. So if you do the math....((12,389 x 0.70) - 2,000)/2=3,336 for the harvest share. Hope this clears up the confusion
