[cool][blue][size 1]Depending on temps and currents there are often some bodacious jacksmelt in close this time of year down there too. I used to have a ball tossing small tube jigs on a tandem rig...on light spinning gear. But, like you say, once in awhile you get some unscheduled fun. [#0000ff][size 1]Have you tried inside at Mission Bay? Lotsa good bay bass as well as small halibut. I have hit some schools of short WSB in there too.[/size][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][size 1]I heard the yellows were showing up at the Coronados. Shouldn't be too long until they hit the local kelp. Then some of those little mackerel can help put a serious bend in your stick.[/size][/#0000ff]
