I disagree about Mantua not being a speed trap. You can Google it and it shows up in several different sites about being one of the best known speed traps in UT.

If you are driving excessively fast, then ticket away, but having a city cop sitting alongside that highway about 90% of the time is definitely what I consider a speed trap. You simply don't see that type of "patrolling" anywhere else. I hope the bill passes. Plus, I can't believe the nerve of the mayor/police chief whining about legislators over stepping their bounds with too much authority, when he is doing just the same. Aren't police chiefs typically appointed by the mayor? There is a lot wrong with that whole picture.
