Can't tell you how many times I've been coming down Provo Canyon and had two guys in trucks sticking right next to each other, keeping a couple lines of cars under the speed limit for who knows what reason. Have to wonder if some of those posting are the same guys doing that kind of thing.
We weren't just talking about speeding, and not just talking about speeding in Sardine Canyon, which obviously has a track record of bad accidents and needs policing. The cop in Mantua does definitely give tickets based on eyeballed measurements, and he did definitely mark a popular parking area as off limits and then ticketed a line of cars the day they parked in that area next to a new and hard to understand sign. After enough of this crap happened, the state started looking into it, as they should. By the way, pretty sure that making the hardline, "rules for rules sake" posts are just helping people make the decision not to visit Mantua.
