It really all depends on your budget for them. I agree with going with Vortex. I recently purchased a pair of Vortex Razor HD 12x50 Binos and I couldn't be happier! I have family who have the Diamondback 10x42s and many friends with the Viper 15x50 or 10x42.

There are some good deals online at Cabelas.
