When I was a kid and lived in Sacramento CA, we used to catch 40 and 50lb Salmon close to our house. Then we could go to the Delta and catch Stripers that were 60lbs plus. We used to catch them on Shad. The Shad were the size of giant blue gills like ones we used to get at Pelican Lake. 3/4 to 1 1/2 lb.[cool]
