Back country Llama Packing & Fishing
#26
Cindy I agree with you that getting out there is so much fun! I have tried buying lighter gear, but somehow my belly out grew my lighter gear savings. I know a diet is what I really need and each ten pound weight loss adds about five years younger feeling when I hike but last year my summer diet for 20 lbs wasn't successful so I had to start giving up gear and at the end of the eight mile hike I was pretty beat. So I'm looking for a multi prong attack this year, with weight loss, llamas carrying the bulky and heavier gear and with my light weight camp stuff I'm hoping a 12 mile hike will be possible. I'll do lots of walking before so I'm in shape, but I typically only do a couple miles a day so 12 will be rough especially with the verticle gain and elevation of this hike being mostly over 11,000 ft. But I think I can. Hope you keep doing it as well. Later J
