IMO Betts Old Salt cast net is my net of choice.
3/8" by 4 foot
Also Bass Pro Shop has "gear guard" for around $15.
For any reason.....no questions asked, for two years you can return the net for a replacement one.
All you have to pay is the taxes (maybe $4.50 @ 8.25%)
So you will save around $35 per net.
Now if you want to add some weights to your net....
Take some weights off your old net and cut them lengthwise. Now crimp them on the new net.
Don't forget to take the extra weights off when you use the gear guard exchange. You will want them for the new net.
