I get that quite often in my area. I catch an Ocean Whitefish and it gets grabbed up by a Black Sea Bass. Other times I am fishing for Ling Cod and bring up a nice one. Attached to the nice one may be a hitchhiker of a nicer one. 2 for one is not a bad deal.
The toughest ones are when I fish for Humboldt Squid. These guys get between 50 and 80lbs by the time they are in my area. We get them on a heavy jig dropped vertically. Ocassionally I will pull up one and that one will get attacked by another. Now there are 2 on the line. My best pull was 4 at the same time. Fortunately I was rigged for that accident. lol I ended up with about 250lbs of squid on my deck from just that pull.
Never attempt Humboldt Squid on a float tube. That is the best way to become a chum bucket for thousands of other squid. [pirate]
