Went up with my son and my father two camp and fish for the weekend. Arrived around 9 am Saturday and fished until just after noon paddling around in float tubes by the state park area. The water was much more murky than usual and there was a bit of algae still floating around out from shore a ways. And not a single bite to be had. I might have had a nibble or two but could've been weeds. After a lunch and nap break we went out again but fished from the shore area where we saw a few people catch fish, including some older die hards including one that had his O2 tank in the water with him. Now that's dedication! We did end up getting a good bite around four and we landed around fifteen fish keeping two. A couple probably went close to four pounds but they were released. Next day was very low clouds and some drizzling rain. We went back to the boat ramp area and quickly started catching a few fish. My dad even switched to a fly rod and with some kind help from a gent in a tube managed to catch a couple fish on a damsel fly. Gave him a couple of my flies for Shoshone lake in exchange for his generosity. In all we landed about 15-20 fish by 12:30 when we left. We did keep a limit of four fish that day. Overall it was a great weekend and fishing wasn't bad at all for us but the concensus was the guys in boats struggled a lot more than we did but a few reported limits.
