For the most part, I go for big Trout through the winter and early spring, then Kokanee and lay off in the mid summer and back at it in the fall. I would like to learn how to catch Wipers, but there are none in our area. There are a few Walleye in our area, but they are all still mostly small, but in a couple more years they will get bigger.
In the winter, I work at my Lure inventory and am always working on R&D. I am big into glow material so that the lures are visible with the right design in deep water. For instance, I finally came up with a lure that mimics a Bear Lake Cisco and glows for 5 hours. Tried it out last week and had great success on it, so I am working up about 20 of them right now. I like those kind of challenges.
