Coot & mtncat- Yes that was us in the Klamath. Now I wish I would have come over and chatted with you fellas a bit more, I just didn't wanna get in your way.
Yes, right up until about 11am or so, there were large numbers of fish slurping on the waters' surface. Just before and after chatting with you guys, we were drifting and casting and caught several by sight casting -- see a fish surface and then cast just in front of the fish. The water clarity was so good, you could often times see those fish hit the lure. We had a great day, much like you guys did. We didn't catch as many fish as you or any as big as the one in your picture, but we did catch 3 cutts that were just above the slot limit. All cutts for us yesterday, not a single rainbow to be had.
Thanks for the hat compliment! My buddies tell me they recognize me on the water from the hat more so than the boat. I'd say my hat looks much like the one on the fella in your avatar picture!
