I take it for granted because I live 45 minutes away. I avoid it during the peak season, but enjoy it from November-early April when weather is comfortable. These early season BWO's are the best of the best. The fish haven't seen anything bigger than a midge for 6 months, nor have they been hammered to death for that long, so they're very appreciative of a meal.
Everybody gets all giddy about the cicadas later in the season, but those don't bring up constantly rising fish, only constant bumper-boats and shoulder to shoulder wade fishing. You hit it just right! I've got a few more days before I aim elsewhere with my dry flies.
