So you want to catch LMB at Utah lake. Do you have a flippin stiik, do you know what a flippin stik is?? You need a 71/2 ft. flippin stik, good quality bait caster and 20-30lb line. I prefer mono because there is some stretch other prefer braid. Senko's work, but a 1/2 - 5/8 oz jig, Blue/black is my preference, with a Blue/black trailer and work the weeds, stay as close to the edge as possible and hit all the little pockets. I also use a swim jig ( chatter bait style) same colors mostly and work the edges of the weeds. Again, you need pretty hefty rig, 7ft, med hvy, bait caster and 20lb line. You can throw some square bill cranks with the same rig, fire tiger is my preference there. You can use your 61/2 - 7 ft spinner with 6-8lb line, but you won't have the power to first put a hook in one and second pull it out of the cover. There are other baits that work, but these are the rigs I prefer to use. Have fun !!
