[#0000FF]This time of year the mudders can be more of a nuisance because they tend to come in shallower for the warmer water...especially in the afternoon or evening. But later in the year...after water temps reach mid 60s or higher...there will be more channel cats in shallow water. First they come in to spawn and then they come back in regularly to feed.
Tough it out and enjoy the action...whatever it may be. And don't be afraid to keep a few and fillet them. I keep and eat a lot of mudders if they are big enough to get a good little fillet from. I deep fry them and turn them into poboys or BLTs...Bullhead, lettuce and tomato sandwiches. Good stuff.
