I have probably been using motors the longest here. Even back in the donut days (1980's).
TubeDude was the first to use that on/off switch here, but I built my own long before I knew those buttons existed..[laugh]
Back in the early stages (1990's) I took the head off the motor and added more wiring. Put the head in the oar holder. Worked great.

Later I got creative and built a remote box. Took the reo stat out of the head and glued it in a metal box. Then added a big radio knob. Had full control right at hand. I use a Maximizer motor now, so can't do this to them dang it. I also used a wire ribbon that was awesome.
