I've been here since 1976 and this is the shortest Winter I've ever seen. You can go back over the Archive boards on the Utah section and see this has never happened but the lower elevation lakes are the first to unthaw. We are only talking a month or so difference but if you want to chase trout you should be able to do that for another month or so on the ice.[
] The only lake I have ever caught a eye threw the ice is Starvation and that was just a few years back. That year we ice fished that lake into March.
