Winter? or Summer? Which is it?

It surprises me as much as it may you folks, but it's starting to look like I was right: this week and next may see the return to winter I forecast almost three weeks ago.

Those Siberian lows finally shifted, bringing the jet stream and storm track back to the Western US. I hope it brings a lot of precip to us, but I equally hope that the concomitant warm spell doesn't bring flooding to the snowbound Northeast.

Weather is always a yin and yang proposition.
