Willard Bay - Valentines Day
#6
Curt, was just hanging a worm on a bait hook. Have a egg weight on a short slip rig (about 6" long) snapped in above an approx. 2' leader with hook on the bottom. 1/4 oz. weight lets me get a fair cast, then sinks to the bottom. The worm on the end tends to float up just a bit and drift around with the water current (at least until it's good and water logged [:/] ). Probably as many ways to rig a worm as there are fishermen. But I've rigged mine that way for so many years............I keep several weight rigs and hook rigs pre tied on a spindle in my tackle box. Then when one snags or gets snapped off by something, even if it snaps the line above the first swivel, all I have to do is tie on another swivel and hook up another weight and hook leader. And I tend to catch my share every year.
