So let's think about this. Only 5 percent of the lake gets ice fished each year. Why? because of access. There are only so many places a person can park and walk out too. 95 percent of the lake is never ice fished so how can all large hybrids be caught and only in a couple of weeks of November. That logic just doesn't work. I ice fish Henry's at least twice a week through the season. I have caught many 4 and 5 pound hybrids and talked with Mr. Keen the biologist and he has seen several 6 lb. hybrids caught this year. Again this is in the small area of the lake that gets fished. Perhaps we should consider the thousands of people that fish the lake in the summer time and not the few that ice fish. I can't go out and shoot a 30 inch mule deer every time i go hunting and I can't catch a 10 lb hybrid every time I go fishing either. Ice fishing has no impact on the lake.
