Thank goodness the season is over
#22
The same day I hefted a 20 pound Hybrid a guy had in his pickup I was able to hook what looked to be a 36" Hybrid I lost after a half hour of fight a few feet from my floatube. I simply panicked when he rolled I relaxed just enough and saw the black halloween fly pull out. That was fifteen years ago and a fish of a lifetime but they were common back then. I have talked to the Bill Schies, Bob Green, Harry Tupper and Lee Siegmans most who have caught multiple fish of that size. I know there are years of winterkill maybe that is what happened but they all did not die of old age. The fact remains since 2008 the big fish have been few and far between in Henry's. Those who have posted here know much more than me the reasons why we have been unable to get the hybrids back thanks for the info good stuff.
