Devil Creek, Deep Creek & Weston Report
#1
I attempted to ice fish Devil Creek and Deep Creek today but the ice was not thick enough. It was about 1" of clear ice on most of Deep Creek and Devil Creek. I could kick through the ice with my boot any place I tried on both reservoirs. Even if the ice will support my weight, I'm not going to ice fish it if I can kick through with my boot. There was also a small amount of open water in the center of both reservoirs but both were 99% ice covered.

Weston had just enough ice I would walk on it but didn't want anyone standing too close to me. Ice was about 3" thick at Weston but only 2" of it was clear solid ice. 1" of it was white frozen snow/slush. Fishing was ok at Weston but nothing to get excited about. Water level at Weston was lower than average for this time of the year. I'll post of few pictures later.

Anyone attempting to ice fish any reservoirs in SE Idaho in the near future should be much more cautious than they would normally be at this time of the year.
