What a difference a day can make. Crappie fishing has been scattered but picking up until Tuesday. We have a major cold front with high winds on us and fishing is not very good. Very few fishermen are out. Crappie and largemouth are slow on both lakes. Small mouth are only fair on Kentucky Lake. When we get some warm sunshine the sauger could turn on below the dam in the tail waters. Minnows tipped with jigs usually work best just off the bottom. We need a few days of better weather to get our spring crappie started.

TIP: When it 16 degrees with 25 mph north winds, stay home.

BITS AND PIECES: "The joy of life is his who has the heart to demand it."
