Sorry if I caused a debate. I didn't even read your edited post.
I fished the last two Wednesdays there and did good, Monday was awesome!! I was just wondering on the the color scheme? White seems better, tipped with chub. Although like others have stated, a "lurker" who doesn't have the the finesse and skill could get a lot of bites with no fish boated. I still as of Monday have learned a lot about different presentations at Strawberry.
Monday me and my buddy fished from 830-dark, we caught and released over 50. I couldn't have done that 10 years ago without fishing it for the past 10 years. 20+ came unbuttoned and the same amount we just couldn't hook at all.
Just reporting like I said I would. Water temp 47-49. Fish all over the water column. Caught them on colors white to black, tipped with worms, chub, pb, mealies, waxies. Everything was producing for us, others we talked to only caught a dozen or didn't say. That reservoir is in good shape. Glad I have weekdays off to enjoy it less crowded.......
