Sometimes that is true, but not at Strawberry. I wonder that too. I even used flies with stingers. Even though I squish barbs, they shouldn't come out with tension.
I am thinking on the bigger flies, maybe the opposite in the they are hitting at the eye and missing the hook.
It happened a bunch to myself and hubby last weekend. Hook up, and have a real fight going on for a few minutes, then nothing.
I would also love to hear others thoughts on this.
Going back this weekend to try some more[
