I went up to Strawberry today and fished East Portal. Lots of strikes and misses. Many fish hit hard and then just let go. How does that happen?
I fished there a week ago and had as many hits but hooked almost everything and landed around 30 fish. Today I landed about 10 with about the same number of bites.
I would love to know how a fish can pull so hard and be on the line for 20 seconds and then just let go.
Black leech with blue and red sparkle was the winner. #4 sinking line pulled out about 35 feet. Tried some others but that one got all the love. White tubes are still working good as well.
When will all the moss globs go away? I have never seen that much in past years.
