Does anyone grow a garden?
#35
Once or twice a week for an hour each time. The thick layer of grass clippings keep the moisture content very consistent. Keeping the moisture so consistent is something very difficult to do without the grass clipping mulch. Because the moisture content is so consistent, I NEVER get a single tomato with blossom end rot.

By the way, I actually pulled up all of my garden and tilled it under a week ago.

I like to have my garden put to bed well before the fall fishing begins at the Berry.

I dig how the different annual events usher in other events. I.e., Salsa making ushers in grape juice making which ushers in putting the garden to bed which ushers in fall fishing at the berry which ushers in ice fishing which ushers in ... and son and so on ...

By the way, if anyone reading this wants to come pick and preserve my concord grapes, they are welcome to. I estimate that there are about enough grapes for a dozen quarts of juice concentrate. Just shoot me a PM and you can come pick and have them for free.
