TDT-- The carp was just over 28 inches long but he fought like he was 48 inches long. I could not get him off the bottom and I swear he fought just like a big ol' catfish. Really had me going... I was all ready to call Boone and Crockett or whomever to get him in the record book... what a disappointment when his big ol' bugle mouth
d at me. Said some bad words, got all disgusted and went home for the day. I always thought carp ate corn, bread balls, and an occasional worm but I never thought they would snarf up a 4-5 in white bass.
The cement barriers are still in place. I think they went around them with the backhoe to plant the poles. I'll be there again tomorrow so I'll check it out.
Maybe a half dozen guys doing the walleye thing down by the orchards. The "happy harvesters" were there catching white bass as usual.
Tube Dude-- that lure you recommended for catching baby white bass is really working.... saves me at least a half hour or so every morning. Thanks. Oh, and I did catch a 20 or so inch carp with it the other morning.[
