dtayboyz, I like your carp photo. For a carp it's the most beautiful one I have ever seen, I like the colors. Weird huh!
As for spearfishing, I don't know much about it and think it's fine UNTIL the spearfishing of Lake Trout takes place. I guess it's an emotional reaction due to three facts;
1) no catch and release with spearfishing
2) Lake Trout take a lifetime to grow to trophy size
3) spearfishing is not fishing (angling) at all, it's shooting, hunting, whatever (FACT)
Is hunting fish wrong? I don't think so, until it comes to Lake Trout..... just my opinion.
Is spearfishing easy? Well I only know one spearfisherman personally and he says it's not easy at all and he's an honest guy so I believe him.
Would I like to try spearfishing a huge Tiger Muskie at Fish Lake? Yuuuuup!
The other thing I totally disagree about spearfishermen is when I'm fishing a certain area and they come in and start dropping dive bouys in the area. This is a big sore subject for a lot of anglers as well.
