Drain Plug Location
#3
A lot of boats from that era are built with a "sealed deck". The 3/4 ply is glued in place, 2-3 3" holes drilled in the center from front to back. Structural floatation foam poured in each hole then glassed over and tied into the rest of the hull. The problem is if there is a pin hole or screw that's not sealed, water WILL get in and water log the foam adding a couple hundred extra pounds a rotting the deck and transom from the inside out. I know from experience.
