Used to fish Deer Creek a lot when I was younger with my dad (this is 10 years ago). We fished there a dozen or more times a year for 2-3 years and then one day a ranger on a boat came and told us no dogs were allowed on the boat there. Because the water was used for some community below the reservoir for drinking water. (That was his line of BS / reasoning).
My dad never took me there again and we avoided that place after that. Dumb rule.
