I did the same thing, except it was 6:00am. Saw the sign, turned around and headed to Strawberry. Has a spectacular day trolling the Berry. I think it is absolutely stupid, and I will not fish Deer creek until they change their rules. My brother-in-law didn't notice the sign, and after fishing all day with his dog, saw the sign as they were pulling the boat to the dock. He also saw a park ranger truck coming down towards them. He put a hat and jacket on his dog, and carried him up to the truck. Guess the ranger thought it was just some drunk fisherman or whatever. My dog is cleaner than a lot of people, and does not urinate or defecate in water.
