New 2015 Lund Crossover XS on the way
#3
I love the new Lund Crossovers. Love the new color schemes this year. What size motor ? Inboard or outboard ? Just my opinion as a past and present Lund owner, if you got a 115 to 200 HP 4 stroke OTBD, you will already be carrying quite a bit of weight in the stern. Maybe try a bolt on Hydrofoil with trolling plate first ? Alot less $$, (unless that's not a problem) and of the total time on the water you will find a good % of it you won't be trolling. When you aren't trolling, that extra kicker motor is really un-necessary weight, especially when you are using the boat for water recreation like skiing, pulling water toys etc.
I had a 115 HP Merc on my first Lund 1700 Pro Sport, and a Hydrafoil trolling plate. When I needed to get up on plane and move, the foil was a great stabillizer and trim aid, and when I wanted to troll, I dropped the trolling plate and even with that bigger motor, I could slow troll all day between about .7 and 3.5 mph.
But, just my 2.5 cents worth. Have fun in that new Lund. I know you will love it, how ever you rig it.

Only one more question........What is the FIRST thing you do after you buy a new boat.........................
