What a great event!
If you thought about it but didn't go you missed out or should I say your kids missed out. I don't know how you and your sponsors do it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you had 35 or 40 kids & I also believe that for a five dollar entry fee every kid walked away with a rod and reel combo multiple tackle packs plus a whole lot more. Also correct me if I'm wrong a lot or most of the kids either walked away with a check or $25 gift card for all kinds of reasons like biggest panfish, biggest other fish and so on.
On Saturday Crystal and I had the honor of fishing next to a boat carrying Bailey for a while. Miss Bailey was already quite the fisherwoman at 4 years old we watched as she caught her 6 pound bag of fish. She was able to work soft plastics with a unique and erratic fish catching action all her own. We
d every time we would hear her hook into a fish and scream "I got one! This ones coming in! Get the net dad! Get the net!". We fished and listened as she fished away while deciding on a name for her favorite fish (Ariel).
We also had the pleasure of meeting an impressive young fisherman named Robert and his father Bob. Robert at only 14 years old pulled in a very impressive bag of fish to take 3rd place. Good luck in the rest of the tournaments this year Robert!
Everyone involved should pat themselves on the back.
