Hey Folks!
My wife and I were discussing our 4th of July Plans.
She wants to Hike. I want to Fish. Me, being the determined fisherman that I am, Came up with a compromise. What about a hike, to get to a fishing spot? She, being the loving, caring, wonderful woman that she is, agreed that this may be an excellent compromise for the plans.
I know that the Uintas are home to both good hiking and good fishing, but I haven't the darnedest clue where to begin.
I'm not asking for any of your Honey Holes, unless you're willing to share them via P.M. In which case, I'll treat your spot like I'd treat any of my own, But a couple suggestions on good hikes that end up at decent fishing would be much appreciated.
Species doesn't really matter, It would be fun to get Tiger, Brookie, Grayling or Golden Trout off my list -I just recently started keeping track. That said, advice on baits that may work better for one species or another would be wonderful too. (I have a fly rod that I'm not proficient with yet.. and by not proficient I mean I haven't landed a fish on it yet.. but I'd love to get that checked off my list too [sly])
Any information is much appreciated.
