Heres what I come up with (roughly) for the adult upriver run . The info below is not official as i dont work for IDGF. It is however based on commonly used mark recapture formula based on the number of hatchery fish released in 2012 (2salt fish) vs the number that were pitt tagged. These numbers are + or - ,but they typically track pretty close with fish and games numbers. Im usually about 1-2% off.

Over Bonn to date -

Sawtooth- 2117 adults
SF - 6454
Pahsim - 926
total 9,497

Over LG dam

Sawtooth - 1470
SF -2303
Pahsim - 407
total 4,180

A few tags disappear between Bonn and LG dam

14,368 rapid river adults over LG dam. This number is actually over 15k based on past correction factors

And yes, calculating the fish numbers using mark recapture is not 100% accurate but its the most accurate methodology available without physically handling and IDing every fish over the dams. You may be off a few % points but overall its pretty accurate for this scale.
