I fish DC from a tube mostly and a boat sometimes.
I'd choose a different lake to target Large Mouth and Perch -- although they can be found they are not a common catch.
Trout, Small Mouth, Crappie, Walleye are better targets.
For trout I've found wedding rings and worm or flies to be the best.
For Small Mouth I like jerk baits and popping. I'm still working on my senko techniques.
I'm not a walleye expert but I do catch them there looking for both the other species.
The same with Crappie. They end up on my lines from time to time.
I used to catch Perch about every morning up there, but that was three years ago.
I will catch a Large Mouth on the Small mouth techniques about once every other trip.
I fish both the charleston and wallsburg areas.
Go on a weekday. Go Early and expect to be driven off the lake by the Power Squadron by 10am. Expect that and you won't be disappointed.
Either that or go on a horrible weather day.
