I wont be there till the second but I can tell you a little from my experiances. I have pretty much fished 20lb maxima for salmon since I started fishing for them. I was always scared to spool a baitcaster with braid and anything heavier in mono was to stiff and not sensitive enough for me. now don't get me wrong I have landed my fare share of salmon in the little salmon river on 20 lb mono but you get smoked....... a lot. After talking to guides and some well respected fishermen this year i broke down and went heavier and with braid. I'm spooled up with 50 lb spiderwire stealth glow-vis braid and I run a 30 pound maxima leader tied to the braid with an improved albright not. I have to say I'm impressed. the couple times i have been out this season the line has been great. casts like silk and is ridiculously sensitive. not to mention the amount of strength it has. If i start getting smoked with the 30lb test mono leader ill bump it up to 40 and see if that holds them.
ps make sure you are using a stout hook. you will be straightning a few of those out there.
