Henry's Lake trolling flies

If your doing it out of a boat I like to troll extremely slowly in most cases. Sweep the fly rod a few feet forward every once in a while and then let it settle back for added motion. You can get away with a little bigger flies trolling than stripping in my opinion. I usually fish size 8-10 buggers and leeches, but I fish 4-6 when trolling. The purple showgirl is a good overall trolling fly.


I forgot to mention setting up at the top of a hole and letting the wind bounce you through the hole works works well from a pontoon or a boat.
