Hottest Baits For Bass?

One me and my cousin always seem to have luck with is just a plain carolina rig with tubes... We both consistently pull river smallies and walleye and he has good success with it tiger musky fishing. We've tried the expensive Zoom and Berkley baits but one of our favorites go as far as cost and performance is the cheap little freshwater basics tubes..

I started getting some Locket Lures soft plastics, I got their sampler when they had it last and my favorite there is a Wacky rigged Fatty.
