While much of Alaska is expected to have poor runs of Kings this year most of the Northwest is expecting tremendous runs. You'd have to look for details to see what the forecast is for various places in Idaho. Give it a try either in Idaho or to the West this year if you're ever going to do it. Few things in fishing beat the rush of hooking into a 4 foot king.
