...goddess... most of the scouts were camping in the parking lot at the Marina. One troop dug into the snow bank and made a snow cave to sleep in. I know of one troop that camped on the ice at Chicken Creek East. Most people setup in any of the parking lots.
Last saturday, there was 1/2 inch or less of snow on the ice. The slush was frozen solid... i.e. there was no slush. I don't know about the current conditions. With the snow depth, although the road is groomed, it could be deep. There is no place to park along the road and the signs say no parking on road side. But... signs are only for those who can read. We parked at the Marina so we were in compliance. It is a long ride back to the road from the Marina, so we rode across the lake. A lot shorter distance.
