Maybe try a single hook lure, or replace the treble hook with a single hook on your lure,
Save ya from the dreaded (finger hooked) ,
I quit using trebles on trout years ago, when I gutted a small rainbow by just trying to remove the treble hook ,

But do what ya want , I by no means am telling anyone what to do[]

I have enjoyed this post, too much surprise I thought it would have been locked by now with some or threatening talk.
