My wife and I drove up Saturday morning arriving at the marina at 6:30 am. Temp was 4 degrees. Sky was mostly clear. We ran the snowmobile across the lake to our favorite bay. Ice was over 30 inches thick. I almost ran out of auger. No slush anywhere we were. I drilled 2 holes and we fished the same two holes until 9:50 am at which time we packed it up and came home. We fished for a total of just under 2 hrs and ended up with 3 rainbow and 19 cuts. Fishing was really hot until about 9 am at which time it slowed down. My wife out fished me icing 12 and I ended up icing 10. The wind came up and with the breeze and the cold temps, we decided we had caught enough and headed down to Heber to have lunch at Dicky's. We arrived at Dicky's at 11:30 and beat the lunch bunch. As we left the Marina, the temp had risen to 24. Scouts were everywhere camping out. There must have been half a dozen or so troop's scattered around. All in all it was a great day. Access everywhere we were was very good.
