Sorry for the delayed report. Got there yesterday at 0700 and made it onto the ice. Edges are starting to rot but were froze enough all day to get on and off without breaking through. Least pressure I have ever seen on Daniels in 20 years (intermittent) of fishing it. One group showed up around 0800 and a solo around 1000, that was it. The bite was steady until we left at 1230. Ended up icing 9, only one slot buster (which was happy to get back into the hole). Lost half a dozen on the way to the hole and missed at least a dozen bites. Thickest ice I have ever seen, the hard deck is still 20+ inches thick. Had a blast and look forward to ice fishing it again this year if I can get the time next weekend. I believe from here on out, a plank will be necessary to get on. Hope this helps anyone who is wanting but uncommitted to fishing it again this year
